  This outfit isn't worth the trouble even if it was FREE. It was ruined on day-one.   Cute, but cheaply made

  I purchased this for my son for Christmas, because he loves anything Army. By the day after Christmas, there was a rip in the crotch, the knees were worn, and one of the stars fell off the top. He only wore this in the house for a few hours!The top does not button up, like the picture shows. It is one long velcro strip that fastens the shirt together. The stars are hot glued on. The pants are not sewn together well at all, and the fabric is very hard feeling.For the price, this costume could be made better.   Adorable Costume - Great Value

  Overall - a really great value! You couldn't even buy the materials and make it yourself for this price. I'm not sure what the one reviewer was talking about with black dust on her fingers....we didn't have this experience. The sizing runs slightly on the small side. My son is about a perfect size 8 and I ordered the Medium (8-10). It fits him just right, but if he were any bigger it wouldn't. I tweaked the costume a little....For the belt...there is a ton of extra slack. I ended up cutting off several inches of the belt....leaving about 4 inches of slack from the middle buckle. I then used velcro strips so that the slack would attach to the main portion of belt around his waist and look nice and neat. For the hat.....the brim of the hat is very floppy....I stiffened it up by taking my hot-glue gun and attaching some black poster board to the underside of the brim.   Received the cute pilgrim outfit, but found it to be significantly larger than expected. Had to make modifications to fit an average size 6-year old.   Great for preschool Thanksgiving costume!

  I received a note from my son's preschool to dress him up like a pilgrim for his class's Thanksgiving feast. Since I don't sew (and I am not creative costume-wise), I decided to search on amazon. The costume is adorable. It did come with a hat, which I wasn't sure when I ordered. The hat is a little floppy, but very cute on him. (It's not exactly the same hat that is pictured -- doesn't sit as high). It could be reinforced with cardboard around the brim if you're feeling inspired (I wasn't). The 4-6X was perfect for my average size 4 year old (who is probably on the solid side) and I bought a pair of girls white knee socks and black dress shoes at Target to complete the outfit. The belt was way too long, so I cut it with a pair of scissors and taped the end down with masking tape. Note: the materials aren't super solid, but I paid 20-some dollars, so I didn't expect them to be!! I had him wear lightweight sweats that pushed up and a dark longsleeved tee underneath.   Bloody Plastic Walls Batman

  Ok, so like any other plastic wall hanging this was kind of a pain to put up but that comes with the territory. It looks legit in dim light, but is not very durable like the rest. Be prepared, if you want to reuse any item like this in years to come, to have snags, nail holes, screw holes, pin holes, etc. all over this. Don't pull it too taught or these items will simply rip right through the plastic.
