  These are useful hooks. Don't forget they only hold a half pound; less than the weight of a wet washcloth.   Pros: I had four of these up and they held small objects (static loads) just fine. Before applying I cleaned each surface with 95% isopropanol.Cons: Three out of the four were difficult to remove after a year. Instead of the adhesive stretching and eventually pulling completely free like it's supposed to, the adhesive broke (one out of four came away cleanly as advertised). Instead of being to reuse the hooks I had to break them apart to get to the adhesive.   We use these for holding up Christmas lights in the house and so far they have worked great. None have fallen off and they're pretty easy to use.Only con is that you have to put them up and wait about 20 minutes for them to set before hanging anything from them.   I originally purchased these for a 'black light' effect, but the color emitted is hot pink. Still looked kinda cool though, reminded me of Vegas so I kept them up.   It's okay

  As is typical with all halloween props/costumes that you purchase nowadays, the quality is extremely poor. However, if you hang it in a window or on the wall as it is designed for and do not handle it frequently, it should last. I do see problems with storing it during the off season as it could easily become damaged. A suggestion would be to perhaps store it in a suitcase (hard case only).Other than that, it does light up sufficient enough for affect and does not make any annoying sounds when lit.   Sign is plastic, but you can't tell at all when lit up at night!!!

  this is such a conversation piece when people come up to your door on Halloween! Looks awesome when lit up night - yes it is plastic and therefore not very firm and sturdy feeling, but who really cares - you'd never know it from just looking at it at night and besides for me it is all about the effect it has when lit up not how "well constructed" it is.   Wouldn't normally offer a review of an item like this except that I saw the only other review giving it such a low rating. I have a Bates Motel sign just like this that was purchased at Spencers 7 years ago. Is it made of cheap-looking plastic? Yes. Is anyone able to see this when it's lit up in your window at night? No. We've received numerous complements on the sign by trick-or-treaters (and their parents) over the years. And despite being made of plastic, the only reason I stumbled across this review is that two of the bulbs finally burned out- the only problem we've ever had with the sign in 7 years. 3/5 Bruce V. Each one takes 4 AA batteries, which is fine (I expected this after having read the product description), but for all that battery power, the amount of light given off is rather dim.   My family has been carving intricate pumpkins for several years. we have very good knives and other tools. These patterns are extremely small and difficult to carve for the experienced! Some patterns were close to impossible. If you can enlarge the patterns, you maybe able to use them!   Got a variation of the product

  The adventure alone of trying to make this work was worth it, but we did not get the same item that I ordered. Our kit did not include a glue stick, which I can understand would have been helpful with all the little tiny pieces of pumpkin we accidentally cut in the process of turning corners! Also, it said that the stencils were press-ons, so I thought they would be stickers, but the kit we actually received said to use tape and the paper that the stencils were made out of got really soggy during carving, therefore ripping and causing us to do quite a bit of freehand!   OK, but nothing great because it has issues

  I bought this holiday projector to shine snowflakes on my home during Christmas . The problem is that it's not bright enough to be seen from the road so it's useless for that. It also melts the slides and light will shine through causing another problem. I use it now for inside halloween ghost thats works ok (after I used tinfoil to cover up the scratches and not let the light shine through the slides ).However, after several years of use the motor is almost shot out...but it still works but real slow....not worth the price...find somthing better. 3/5 C.   These appliques do not have a solid white background, but a translucent, almost clear background, so the wall color shows through the picture. It's worst on the whites in the picture, which only appear white on the removable backing because the backing is white, but it also affects the lighter colors. These look okay on a light colored wall, but I'd avoid placing these on dark walls. (Note that the giant appliques do have a solid white background and look much better.)   These are great, my four year old loves them. They stick and restick and are very durable, the only problem is his bedroom walls are blue and the translucent background makes the stickers hard to see.   Quite Possibly the BEST EVER Halloween Crafts book!

  Last year I stopped into the our local bookstore and came across this wonderful book for Halloween! Most Halloween books really come across as chitchy and more for the kids, but this one really stood heads above the crowd! Since I'm not into the kid element, this book really can make or break your Halloween party! Just great stuff in here! I used a few of the recepies for the Spider punch, and the cookies. Also did the stone pumpkins. They were a hit at my party! I didn't have much time to use the ideas last year, but since the party was so successful, we are going to keep this book at hand from now until up until October! The projects are insightful and just great! Who thought of spraying Fleckstone to make Graveyard Stone Pumpkins?! We did the Orchard Stone statue and wanted to create the Amature Butler, but didn't have time. This year our Jack Skellington costume will be stuffed and built with the amature project in this book.
