  Great novelty item but save your money if you're a doll collector

  I liked the overall packaging of the Barbie Bella Twilight doll for the atheistic value but for those who might be doll collectors or are thinking of starting be aware there is nothing all that special about this doll besides having Twilight packaging and one label inside the jacket that says Summit.Also please be aware that if you intend to remove Bella from the box you have a job ahead of you. It seems she is wrapped up and attached well to the interior cardboard and if you get this as a Christmas gift for a young Twilighter then it will probably take you a while to get her out of the thin plastic box and all the packaging ties, tape and rubber she is attached with. Also be careful when cutting her head from the plastic attaching her to the package so you don't cut her hair in the process.This Bella doll has bendable knees but not bendable arms which is a step back in my opinion for Mattel in comparison to the release of the Wonder Woman Pink Label all... 3/5 N.   Very Cute, A Little Creepy

  I absolutely *love* things that exist at the intersection between creepy and cute: Ugly Dolls, OrneryBoy, Emily, you name it. I also love amigurumi (Japanese crocheted dolls). So buying this book was a no-brainer for me. I even went against my general rule of looking at craft books before I buy them, and bought this one sight-unseen on Amazon.Fortunately, my gamble paid off. This book is full of really cute patterns. It's well-written, well-photographed, and the instructions are easy to follow. My favorite pattern is the monkey (on the cover), but they are all adorable. In a few weeks, I should have an army of little crocheted ninjas, monkeys and zombies marching across my desk!This would be a great book for anyone who likes to crochet fun little toys.   A creepy cute challenge

  This book is a little more challenging than I expected and some of the terms are confusing. I took some of my questions to some crochet forums and have gotten some help, but some of the instructions even confused the seasoned crochet veterans (Cthulhu's face is a good example). However, the results, when you get them, are really great. This book is way more in depth that others I have tried (Amigurumi World: Seriously Cute Crochet) and uses a variety of stitches that look cleaner and give more shape than just using single crochet. Also it has tips for fringe hair, different styles of eyes (using sculpty, beads etc.), making felt weapons, which adhesives to use, how to stuff so it isn't lumpy, and a very good list of needed and optional supplies. Most of the projects can be completed in a day's time easily.   Author take the craft seriously...big thumbs up from me!

  My home is about 3/4 craft books and I've seen the good and the bad. What I absolutely adore about this book is that the author is extremely careful in describing how to make the finishing touches that make these pieces work so well. I figured the eyes (which are amazing) were something you purchased in some doll parts store but the instructions on how to make them are pretty engaging.Like other reviewers, I'd not recommend that you use this book to learn to crochet. What it does brilliantly is to take your crochet skills and help you do the finishing in a way to make the product extra special.   A must for any Dark Shadows Fan

  I grew up running home from school to see the next episode of DS, the figure definitely brings back memories and a great start to any collection.Arrived in excellant condition and the packaging is just as important as the figure itself.I was pleased with the prompt delivery and secure packaging.Hope someday they add more figures to this collection.Hes staying in the box as much as I want to play with him.   Barnabas figure works

  Im a huge fan of Dan Curtis and Dark Shadows.This figure captures Barnabas and its good for just looking at him. He has three heads for whatever strikes you. 1966 was a good year for the show although I didnt understand what I was looking at until 69. The music and the waves in the shows opening sequence was classic creepy. The figure works if you are a fan.But dont try to pose it without the stand.   Great Addition to the Franchise

  I picked up my copy of Nightlife yesterday, as well as Prima's Nightlife Strategy book. The game is great. With this expansion, your sims have the opportunity to have enhanced social interactions with other sims. You can now see what sims are attracted to your sims. There is a new item in the relationship panel called "chemistry" and the sims with whom your sims have chemistry with are rated with a lightning bolt system - 1 bolt being low, 2 bolts being average and 3 being high. This helps if you're trying to get your sim a good match. You can also ask people about their skill levels, which will be helpful for me because there is nothing worse than picking up a sim who has low skills and thus contributes nothing good to the household.You can now go out with groups of people instead of just one sim. This functions similarly to "throw party" in that the group outing is scored.   As depicted in our earlier previews, Nightlife offers a new downtown/city area that you can associate with your towns. There's only one, but it's loaded with new buildings, restaurants, stores, and entertainment centers. 125 new objects are available, most focusing on social interaction or community lot decorating. Sims can now build driveways and own their own cars, and they can form social groups or go out on dates. In addition, the inclusion of Vampires almost makes the pack.Graphically, there are some new perks. Although it doesn't directly impact gameplay, you can now see neighboring lots from your own house -- this makes the game more immersive, since it doesn't feel like your house is floating in space anymore.A new "Pleasure Aspiration" is now available as a Sim's life goal.   When I first bought this expansion pack and played it for a few hours, I immediately came on the amazon site and rated it at 4 stars. After playing it enough to feel comfortable writing a review, though, I find I have to give it 3 stars. Let me explain.What I liked:*New and useful objects*Inventory slots!
